Recently, my inbox started filling with questions from people asking about a new office chair brand, and to my surprise, it was one I hadn’t heard of before, called Musso.
After a bit of research and scrolling through a few Reddit threads, I found that Musso has become quite popular over the last few years, especially among people looking for chairs that mix gaming looks with office comfort.
That got me really curious, and as usual, I couldn’t resist. I grabbed my card, went on their website, and pressed the buy button.
I went with the Musso H80 Pro, one of their higher-end models that promises a premium feel without the heavy price tag. I’ve been using it daily for the past few weeks while writing, working, and sitting through long meetings, and I’ve got a lot to say about the experience so far.

Delivery and Unboxing
My first impression of the brand was a positive one. Musso clearly put effort into the packaging design, and while that might not be as important as the chair’s quality or comfort, it still shows that they care about presentation and customer experience.
I also really like that they have clear indications on which side of the box to open, a small detail that makes the process easier.
The box arrived with a few minor marks, but overall it was in good condition. It’s worth noting that the box is quite heavy, so it’s best to have a second person help with lifting to avoid straining your back.
Moving on to the unboxing, everything inside was neatly packed and arrived without any damage. If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to improve the packaging materials.
Using fewer plastic bags or switching to more eco-friendly options would be a nice touch and align better with the growing focus on sustainability.
Assembly Experience
The assembly process was pretty straightforward, and I have to say, Musso did a good job with the instructions.
The manual comes in a square format, with one side showing all the chair functions and the other side explaining how to assemble the chair.
Everything came clearly labeled, and the manual was easy to follow even for someone who doesn’t usually enjoy putting furniture together.
The screws and tools were nicely packed and separated, which made the whole process feel more organized.
It took me about 15 minutes to assemble everything, though it might take closer to 25 to 30 minutes if you don’t build furniture often. I assemble chairs almost every week, so that experience definitely made the process quicker.
Design and Build Quality
The first thing that stood out to me after putting the Musso H80 Pro together was the design. It looks modern and clean, with a mix of ergonomic shape and a light gray color that fits well in most setups.
The overall design feels like a cross between a high-end office chair and a gaming chair, but without being too flashy or over the top.
The mesh material feels premium and well-made. It has a soft texture but still gives that firm support you’d expect from a quality ergonomic chair.
The backrest and seat both have good tension and bounce, and the mesh keeps things nice and cool, especially during long hours at the desk.
I also really like the structure of the backrest. It’s split into multiple support zones that move slightly with your body, which makes it more comfortable when you lean or adjust your posture.
The frame itself feels solid, not cheap or bendy, and the white and gray combination gives it a more professional look.
Comfort and Adjustability
When it comes to comfort, the Musso H80 Pro really impressed me. It’s loaded with features you’d normally find in more expensive chairs, and most of them actually work as promised during daily use.
The 6D armrests were one of the first features I wanted to test. I spent quite a bit of time adjusting them into different positions while editing videos and writing articles, and they stayed firm and steady throughout.
I like how flexible they are since you can move them in almost every direction, but if I’m honest, I would have liked the padding to be a bit softer. After a few hours, my elbows felt a little pressure, but not enough to be uncomfortable.
Next is the lumbar support, which turned out to be one of my favorite parts of this chair. I tested it through several long workdays, sitting for six to seven hours at a time, and it really does adjust with your lower back as you move.
Whether I leaned forward to type or leaned back to relax, it kept my spine well supported. It’s one of those things you don’t notice at first, but after a full day, you realize your lower back isn’t sore like it usually would be.
The Backrest Structure also deserves some credit. During testing, I found myself constantly shifting positions throughout the day, and the backrest adapted perfectly each time.
The separate sections give it a more natural feel, especially when you recline a bit. Paired with the BackTrack Adjust system, which lets you move the backrest height to fit your body, it made a big difference.
I also spent some time adjusting the 5-level height mechanism and the 3D headrest. Since I’m 6’3″, I wanted to see if the chair could properly support my height, and it did a great job. The headrest adjusted smoothly and offered solid neck support, even during long hours at the desk.
After a few days of testing, I can say it works very well. It moves smoothly and stays in place, and when leaning back to relax between tasks, it gives just enough pressure to support your head without pushing too hard.
Now, for the footrest, this is where things didn’t go as smoothly. While testing it during breaks or when watching videos, I noticed it moves a little too easily.
The leg area is also quite small, which made it hard to find a comfortable position. It’s fine for quick rests but not ideal for extended use. I think Musso could definitely improve this part in future versions.
Performance Over Time
So far, I’ve logged over 150 hours of use with the Musso H80 Pro. The controls are smooth and easy to adjust, the support stays consistent, and overall, the chair still feels just as solid as it did on day one.
Even after long work sessions, there’s been no sagging, squeaking, or loose parts, which is a great sign for long-term durability.
The mesh still feels tight, the armrests hold their position, and the back support continues to perform well throughout full workdays.
Of course, first impressions can only tell part of the story. As usual, I’ll come back with an update after 500 hours and again at 1000 hours of use to see how it truly holds up over time.
Value for Money
The Musso H80 Pro positions itself as a mid-range ergonomic chair, but it definitely gives the feeling of something more premium.
Compared to other chairs in the same category, it offers a solid mix of build quality, comfort, and features that you usually only find on higher-priced models.
Considering the overall design, features like the 6D armrests, 3D lumbar support, and multi-zone backrest, I think the Musso H80 Pro delivers excellent value for the money.
It’s not the cheapest option out there, but for what it offers, it easily competes with chairs that cost significantly more.
Is it Worth It?
Yes, the Musso H80 Pro is worth it, but it is also a tough choice to make depending on what you are looking for.
However, if your budget allows, I would personally look at the Musso X700. It offers a few extra features and refinements that make it an even better choice for people who sit long hours or prefer a slightly larger, more premium build.
If you prefer the look and style of the H80 Pro, or you simply want a well-balanced chair without overspending, it is still a great pick. It gives you a premium sitting experience without the premium price tag.
