After testing what has quickly become one of my favorite budget office chairs, the Holludle Ergonomic Chair, I was curious to see if the brand could deliver the same value across its lineup.
That first model managed to surprise me with its comfort and build quality, standing toe to toe with more well-known names like Sihoo or Ticova, but at a better price.
Naturally, as usual, my curiosity pushed me to see what else they had to offer, so I decided to try their mid-range option, the Holludle V Back Design Chair.
I was not expecting luxury-level performance, but my hope was that Holludle could once again prove that a well-designed and affordable chair does not have to feel cheap.

Delivery and Unboxing
Same old story with most of the boxes, but I always feel the need to mention it. The package arrived in good condition with no damage.
The box was medium-sized, a little smaller than the ergonomic chair I tested before, but with a similar weight. It was still easy enough to handle by one person, so there was no need for extra help in my opinion.
Inside, everything was packed securely and well protected. However, just like with their ergonomic chair, there were way too many plastic bags.
As I mentioned before, I would definitely love to see a more eco-friendly approach from Holludle in their packaging.
Assembly Process
The assembly took me around 15 minutes, including the time I spent taking pictures and setting up the camera.
Nothing was difficult, but since I have plenty of experience putting chairs together, I still like to take my time. For someone without much experience, it would probably take closer to 20 minutes.
Inside the box, you get a pair of gloves, clear instructions, and all the screws you need. One detail I really liked is the base hub. It looks great, keeps the legs in place, and doesn’t move or make any noise when touched after the legs are screwed in.
One tip worth mentioning, so you don’t end up making the same mistake I di,d is to install the cover on the backrest before attaching it.
If you forget, you’ll have to remove the backrest and reinstall it once the cover is in place. In my opinion, the cover could come pre-installed to make things easier, but overall, the process was smooth.
Design and Build Quality
At first look, the Holludle V Back Design Chair stands out with a clean frameand a unique V-shaped backrest that gives it a more modern look compared to similar chairs in this price range.
It does not have the bulky presence like the FlexiSpot C7 Pro or the Musso X700, but instead feels lighter and more minimal, which can be a plus if you want a chair that does not dominate the room.
The frame and base feel solid for the price, and once everything is screwed together, the chair holds firmly without wobbling.
The mesh backrest feels breathable and supportive, though slightly stiffer compared to the Colamy Atlas, but overall, it offers decent comfort while giving the chair a clean and airy look.
The armrests and the lumbar support are not as good as the ones on Holludle’s flagship model, but they still do the job well enough for a mid-range option.
Comfort and Ergonomics
As I am jumping into this section right after testing Holludle’s flagship model and a few other chairs in this price range, I immediately noticed the differences. The V Back Design Chair does not feel as plush or supportive as their top-tier option, but that is to be expected considering the lower price point.
The seat cushion is identical, which is definitely a good sign. It actually feels slightly thicker, although I cannot quite put my finger on why.
Either way, the cushion provides decent comfort and support, enough for working a few hours at a time without feeling sore.
The backrest, to be fair, is not very suitable for taller people. I am 6’3″, and I often find myself resting against the top frame rather than the mesh itself.
For me, that takes away some comfort, but I believe if you are under six feet tall, you will not have this issue. My partner, who is 5’5″, found the chair very comfortable and mentioned that the mesh felt supportive and breathable.
The lumbar support was another positive surprise. I could feel it doing its job, and adjusting it was simple. I did not even have to get up from the chair, just stretched my arm back and set it to the position I wanted.
The padding is sufficient, though I do think having a bit more range in the adjustment would be a definite plus, since some people might prefer stronger support.
The armrests come with 3D adjustment. The padding is decent, though personally I prefer something softer. Still, the range of movement is more than enough, and once I set them in place, I never felt the need to constantly readjust them.
The headrest, on the other hand, is a downside. I like the fact that it is detachable, but having that piece of plastic resting on top of the frame takes away from the design and feels uncomfortable both to install and to use.
While the rest of the functions were decent, nothing stood out as extraordinary. It feels very much like an average mid-range chair, the kind of design and performance we have seen before.
Performance Over Time
After spending a good amount of time with the Holludle V Back Design Chair, I can say that it holds up fairly well for a mid-range option. The frame feels stable, and there are no signs of wobbling or creaking, even after leaning back and shifting around throughout the day.
The mesh has kept its shape so far and still feels supportive, though it is a bit stiffer compared to higher-end chairs.
The seat cushion has not shown any sagging or noticeable wear, and it does not require much maintenance beyond the occasional clean. For a chair at this price, that is a good sign of durability.
Overall, the chair performs consistently over time without showing major weaknesses, but it also does not go beyond what you would expect from a budget-friendly mid-range chair. It is reliable and functional, but not a game-changer.
Price Value
When it comes to price, the Holludle V Back Design Chair sits in a very competitive spot. It is not the cheapest option out there, but it still comes in lower than well-known brands like Sihoo, Ticova, Duramount or Durrfay while offering a design that feels more premium than what you would expect at this range.
For the money, you are getting a chair that is sturdy, comfortable enough for daily use, and with a design that can easily fit into a modern home office setup.
Is It Worth It?
It really depends on what you are looking for. Personally, I would go for Holludle’s flagship model, even if it means spending a bit more, because the comfort and level of adjustability you get with that chair make it a much better long-term value.
However, if you are looking to save money and still want a solid chair with a decent level of adjustability, the V Back Design Chair is a good choice. It covers the basics well, feels sturdy, and offers enough comfort for daily use without stretching your budget too far.
