As I have been covering more and more office chairs lately, it is finally time for FlexiSpot’s lineup to step into the spotlight.
This time it is the FlexiSpot BS12 Pro ergonomic chair review, and soon the C7 Pro Air, which I have already ordered. If you have been following my reviews, you already know that FlexiSpot is one of my favorite brands when it comes to standing desks, and I am not alone in that.
Even big tech YouTube channels like Linus Tech Tips have been recommending their products for years. So when I spotted the BS12 Pro with a big discount, I did not think twice and bought it straight away.
In this review, I will focus on my first-hand experience with the chair, what I liked, what I did not like, and how it feels in everyday use.
What We Like
What We Don’t

delivery and Unboxing
The BS12 Pro arrived faster than I expected, taking just two days from the moment I placed the order to the knock on my door.

FlexiSpot shipped it in a single large box, and while it was heavy, the packaging felt secure enough to protect everything inside during transit. The outer box had a few scuffs from the courier, but nothing that suggested damage to the chair itself.
Inside, every part was neatly arranged and wrapped in protective foam and plastic. The hardware was sealed in its own bag, and the manual was right on top, easy to find.
One thing I liked was that the seat and backrest were wrapped in thick foam sheets, so there was no risk of fabric scuffing before it even got to me. The base and casters were also individually bagged to prevent scratches.

Overall, it was a straightforward unboxing process with no missing parts, no factory smell that lingers for days, and no unnecessary packaging waste. It was exactly what I like to see, secure, simple, and ready to assemble.

Assembly Process
Honestly, this was one of the easiest chairs I have ever assembled. Most of the base came pre assembled so the only thing I had to do was snap in the casters.
The mechanism was already installed which meant I did not have to fiddle with complicated parts. I just screwed in the armrests, backrest, and connected everything together.

A big plus here is that the hardware was really straightforward to work with and the instructions were clear.
The entire assembly took around 15 minutes and would probably take even less time if you have done this before. Overall, a hassle free setup that got me sitting in no time.

Design and Build Quality
Right out of the box the BS12 Pro feels solid and well put together. The materials used do not feel cheap.
The frame has a sturdy plastic construction and the fabric covering the seat and backrest is breathable yet durable while the design is simple and clean.
I liked that the chair strikes a good balance between looking professional and still being minimalist.

The stitching and seams are tight and clean which tells me it should hold up well over time. The armrests are adjustable and feel firm without any wobble which adds to the overall build quality.
The design, while minimalist, is functional with no unnecessary bulk. I like that the chair does not try to do too much but focuses on solid ergonomics and comfort.

Comfort and Ergonomics
I’ll start with one of my favorite features, the fabric mesh, which I absolutely love. It offers excellent breathability, keeping you cool during long hours of sitting, yet it is also incredibly soft to the touch.

As I have mentioned before, working from home allows me to take my t-shirt off if it gets too hot, so having a soft fabric that still provides the breathability benefits of mesh is a big plus for me.
Additionally, I like how they padded the front of the seat while keeping the middle and back areas mesh.

The padding adds extra comfort by preventing the thighs from touching the hard plastic. Honestly, sometimes I even prefer this over the traditional waterfall seat design.

The armrests are 3D and do their job well enough; however, I feel they could have gone a bit further.
Nowadays, many chairs in this price range offer 4D armrests, and models like the Musso X700 even feature 6D armrests.

Obviously, I do not expect them to match the Gesture chair’s armrests given the significant price difference, but some additional padding would have been nice.
Next is the lumbar support, which is 2D and similar to the one found in the Amia chair, though using different technology.

The extra padding helps a lot, and I do not have much to criticize here. For me, it provides exactly what I look for in lumbar support, effective but not overly aggressive.

The adjustment button works fine, and I really like the style. They have clearly tried to mimic the standing desk button design, which I think is a smart choice.
In my opinion, this is how every chair should implement buttons for adjustable features. It is intuitive, easy to remember, and works smoothly, which is a big plus.

Last but not least, there is the headrest. While I am not a huge fan of headrests in general, mainly because I am quite tall and often find them restrictive so I prefer to remove it, I do recognize that it can be a valuable feature for many users.

Performance Over Time (6 Moths Hour Update)
After using the BS12 Pro for six months, I can say it has held up really well. The chair still feels just as sturdy and comfortable as the day I unboxed it.
The fabric shows minimal signs of wear and remains breathable, which is a big plus during long work sessions.
The adjustable features, like the armrests and recline, have stayed smooth and reliable without any squeaks or looseness.

I’ve been using it daily for around eight hours, and it continues to support my posture effectively without causing discomfort or fatigue.
The only downside I’ve noticed is that the fabric gets dirty faster than a normal mesh, but that is understandable. You just need to clean it from time to time to keep it looking fresh.

Value for Money
Considering the price, especially if you manage to get a discount like I did, the value this chair offers is truly unbeatable. It delivers features and build quality that often surpass what you would expect at this price point.
You are getting a comfortable, durable chair that can easily compete with higher-end models but without the premium price tag.

Additionally, it comes from a well-established and trusted brand, which adds a level of confidence in terms of customer support and product reliability.
For anyone looking for a smart investment in their home or office setup, this chair offers excellent bang for your buck.

Is It Worth It?
Yes, it is definitely worth it. The BS12 Pro offers great value for its price with solid build quality, comfort, and reliable performance over time.
It hits the sweet spot between professional looks and everyday comfort without overcomplicating things.
If you want a dependable office chair that supports long hours of work and doesn’t break the bank, this one is a strong contender.
One thing I definitely need to mention is that FlexiSpot offers a 60-day trial, which gives you plenty of time to test the chair and see if it fits your needs. That kind of confidence in their product is always a good sign.
